Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy governs the refund and cancellation terms for tax consulting services provided by TaxByAkram, operated by Shaik Akram Basha. This policy is compliant with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for digital payments and refunds.
2. Service Categories and Refund Eligibility
2.1 Consultation Services
- Before consultation: Full refund if cancelled 24 hours before scheduled time
- Within 24 hours: 50% refund for cancellations made within 24 hours
- No-show: No refund for missed consultations without prior notice
- After consultation: Non-refundable once the consultation has been conducted
2.2 ITR Filing Services
- Before work commencement: Full refund minus 10% processing fee
- Work in progress: Partial refund based on work completed (assessed on case-by-case basis)
- After return filing: Non-refundable once return is filed with Income Tax Department
- Revision requests: Free revision for errors on our part; additional charges for changes due to new information from client
2.3 GST Services
- GST Registration: Full refund if application not submitted; 50% refund if rejected due to reasons within our control
- Monthly/Quarterly Returns: Non-refundable once filed on GST portal
- Annual subscriptions: Pro-rata refund for unused months if cancelled before renewal
2.4 Financial Projection Services
- Before delivery: Full refund if cancelled before work begins
- Draft stage: 50% refund if cancelled after draft submission
- Final delivery: Non-refundable after final report is delivered
3. Conditions for Refund
Refunds are applicable when:
- Service was not provided as agreed upon in the engagement terms
- Duplicate payment was made due to technical error
- Service is cancelled before commencement of work
- We are unable to provide the service due to circumstances on our end
- Client is dissatisfied with service quality (subject to review and assessment)
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases:
- Return/filing already submitted to government authorities
- Client provided incorrect or incomplete information leading to errors
- Client failed to respond to queries within reasonable time, causing delays
- Penalties/interest imposed by tax authorities due to client's non-disclosure
- Change in tax laws or assessment after filing is completed
- Client's change of mind after service delivery
- Government portal downtime or technical issues beyond our control
5. Refund Request Process
To request a refund:
- Submit Request: Contact us via WhatsApp at +91 99499 47465 or email with your refund request, including:
- Your full name and contact details
- Service for which refund is requested
- Payment receipt/transaction ID
- Reason for refund request
- Review: We will review your request within 3 business days
- Decision: You will be informed of the refund decision via WhatsApp/email
- Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days
6. Refund Timeline (As per RBI Guidelines)
In compliance with RBI circular on "Harmonisation of Turn Around Time (TAT) for resolution of failed transactions":

Note: Actual credit to your account depends on your bank's processing time. The timeline mentioned is from the date of refund initiation by us.
7. Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to the original payment source. If the original payment method is not available, refunds will be made via NEFT/IMPS to the bank account provided by you. We do not provide cash refunds.
8. Cancellation by Service Provider
We reserve the right to cancel services and provide full refund if:
- We are unable to provide the service due to unforeseen circumstances
- Client requests us to perform illegal or unethical activities
- There is a conflict of interest discovered after engagement
- Client behavior is abusive or threatening towards our team
9. GST on Refunds
As per GST law, if a refund is processed for a service where GST invoice was issued, a credit note will be issued. The GST component will be adjusted accordingly. If you have claimed Input Tax Credit (ITC) on the original invoice, you may need to reverse the same.
10. Dispute Resolution
If you are not satisfied with our refund decision:
- You may escalate the matter by writing to us with additional details
- We will review the escalation within 7 business days
- If still unresolved, the dispute shall be subject to arbitration as per our Terms of Service
- You may also approach consumer forums under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. The policy applicable to your transaction will be the one in effect at the time of payment.
